Local Offer information

From September 2014, in accordance with the Children and Families Act, all local authorities must publish a local offer. The Local Offer must set out, in one place, information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with or without Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

Local Offer is a website in Swindon for children & adults who have support needs, giving you correct information and advice at any time. You can find out more information by visiting the Swindon Local Offer website.

Our Local Offer

North Star Nursery is a 40 place day nursery offering care for children from 3 months to 5 years. We are open all year round from 8 am until 6 pm, excluding Bank Holidays and Research Council privilege days.

Our Holiday Club offers care to older children from school age up to 11 years. We can cater for 16 children daily during sessions which run from 8.30 am until 5.30pm. Our Holiday Club operates during school holidays set by Swindon Borough Council.

At North Star Nursery, we aim to have regard to the SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years (issued 2014) on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, the identification of and assessment of SEND, and also to other guidelines supplied to both private and voluntary providers of Foundation Stage Education.

Our policies and procedures set out how we intend to meet the objectives of the SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years (issued 2014). Please click on the "Policies and forms" tab above to see a full list of our Policies and Procedures.

If you would like further information or would like to come and visit the nursery, please contact us on 01793 411994 or email info@northstarnursery.co.uk
